To provide a partial discharge detector with which it is possible to detect a partial discharge occurring over a wide band, and which can be constituted by relatively inexpensive components.SOLUTION: A partial discharge detector for detecting a partial discharge in power cable is constituted by comprising a first converter for converting an analog signal of AC waveform flowing in electric cable into a digital signal; a second converter for converting the analog signal of a partial discharge current into a digital signal; and signal processing unit for processing the digital signal of the partial discharge current having been converted by the second converter. The second converter converts an analog signal in a plurality of Nyquist frequency regions into a digital signal, and the signal processing unit performs the process of reducing, using the phase of AC waveform obtained from the digital signal of AC waveform having been converted by the first converter, the amount of the digital signal of the partial discharge current having been changed by the second converter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】広帯域にわたって発生する部分放電を検出することができ、比較的安価な部品で構成することが可能な部分放電検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】電力ケーブルにおける部分放電を検出する部分放電検出装置を、電力ケーブルに流れる交流波形のアナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換する第１の変換器と、部分放電の電流のアナログ信号をデジタル信号に変換する第２の変換器と、第２の変換器によって変換された部分放電の電流のデジタル信号の処理を行う信号処理部とを備え、第２の変換器は、複数のナイキスト周波数領域のアナログ信号に対して、デジタル信号への変換を行い、信号処理部は、第１の変換器で変換された交流波形のデジタル信号から求めた交流波形の位相を用いて、第２の変換器で変化された部分放電の電流のデジタル信号に対して、信号の量を低減する処理を行う構成とする。【選択図】図１
