Summary: | To provide floating offshore wind power generation equipment and a detection method for breaking of a mooring cable of floating offshore wind power generation equipment each of which enables mooring cable breaking to be quickly detected.SOLUTION: Floating offshore wind power generation equipment 1 comprises: wind power generation equipment 2 having a rotor 5 with a blade 4 and rotating by receiving wind; and a nacelle 6 for housing a power generator 7 that generates electricity using the rotation energy of the rotor 5, wherein the wind power generation equipment 2 is installed on a floating body 15 disposed on water and moored by a mooring cable 16. The floating offshore wind power generation equipment further comprises; a state prediction part 102 predicting the state of the floating body 15 based on wind condition information, oceanic condition information, and the operational status of the wind power generation equipment 2; and a mooring cable breaking determination part 103 detecting the breaking of the mooring cable 16 based on the predicted state predicted by the state prediction part 102 and state information detected by a state detection part 9 installed on the floating offshore wind power generation equipment 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
