Summary:To provide a fall prevention device that can prevent breakage of a partition or a ceiling in an earthquake and secure a fall prevention function, even if the surface of the partition is constituted of low-strength members or the upper edge of the partition is connected to a grid ceiling inferior to strength, in the device for preventing the falling by connecting the partition with a cabinet.SOLUTION: A fall prevention device has a substrate 7 arranged on a floor surface F, and an absorber 27 fixed in a substrate 7 through an auxiliary frame 26. In an earthquake, a cabinet 1 swings while the substrate 7 deforms to wave, however the kinetic energy when returned from a forward tilted posture and turned is absorbed by the absorber 27, and therefore the cabinet 1 can be prevented from intensely colliding to the partition 6.
