To provide a traveling vehicle capable of expanding a space at the feet of a driver while shortening a distance from a transmission portion inserted to a mission case to a forward/backward movement switching device.SOLUTION: A traveling vehicle includes a control device having a shuttle lever, a mechanical forward/backward movement switching device for switching forward movement and backward movement of the traveling vehicle, a case housing the forward/backward movement switching device and disposed at a lower side with respect to the control device, and a transmission portion for transmitting the operation of the shuttle lever to the forward/backward movement switching device between the shuttle lever and the forward/backward movement switching device.
