To provide a passenger conveyor capable of preventing an object from being sandwiched between a tread board of a step, which is a footboard, and a dress guard at an inclined part between a lower story floor and an upper story floor.SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor includes a pair of doorways provided at different height positions, a traveling passage for circularly moving tread boards of steps, which are endlessly connected to one another, between the pair of doorways, a pair of cover members erected on both sides of the pair of doorways and both sides of the traveling passage along a moving direction of the traveling passage, and dress guards provided at predetermined height of the cover members while being protruded toward the traveling passage.
