To provide a head-mounted display 1 that is miniaturized without giving users discomfort.SOLUTION: A head-mounted display 1 is configured to comprise: right and left projection units 40R and 40L; and right and left half mirrors 50R and 50L that have concave surface-shaped projection light reflection surfaces MR and ML causing projection light from the right and left projection units 40R nd 40L to be reflected toward eyes of users. For example, the left-side projection unit 40L has: a left-side image display element DL; and a left-side projection lens group GL that includes a plurality of free-form surface lenses. The projection light emitted from the left-side image display element DL transmits the let-side projection lens group GL, and is emitted toward the left-side projection light reflection surface ML.
