Summary:To provide an air seal member and an air seal method capable of improving seal performance by means of gas by suppressing air current in a direction reverse to a seal direction.SOLUTION: An air seal member 1 has a main body part 2 provided with an outer circumferential surface 2a and an inner circumferential surface 2b, an air feed hole 11 through which gas is poured is opened on the outer circumferential surface 2a, an exhaust hole 12 which is communicated with the air feed hole 11 on an inner part of the main body part 2 and allows the gas poured from the air feed hole 11 to be ejected therethrough is opened on the inner circumferential surface 2b, the gas is ejected from the exhaust hole 12 onto a gap C formed between an outer lateral surface Pa of a shaft member A and the inner circumferential surface 2b, thereby, the gap C is sealed, a squeeze part 13 which reduces a channel cross-section of the gas is formed on a channel 10 coming to the exhaust hole 12 from the air feed hole 11, the exhaust hole 12 is inclined toward one direction, of directions along the outer lateral surface Pa and, thereby, the gas is ejected in one direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】シール方向と逆の方向への気流を抑制することにより気体によるシール性能を向上させることが可能となる、エアーシール部材、及び、エアーシール方法を提供する。【解決手段】エアーシール部材1は、外周面2aと内周面2bとを備える本体部2を有し、外周面2aには、気体が注入される給気孔11が開口され、内周面2bには、本体部2の内部で給気孔11と連通し、給気孔11から注入された気体が噴出される排気孔12が開口され、軸部材Aの外側面Paと内周面2bとの間に形成される隙間Cに、排気孔12から気体が噴出されることにより、隙間Cをシールし、給気孔11から排気孔12にかかる流路10には、気体の流路断面積を小さくする絞り部13が形成され、排気孔12が外側面Paに沿った方向のうち一方向に向かって傾斜することにより気体が一方向に噴出される。【選択図】図2
