To provide a valve opening/closing timing controller capable of setting the relationship of the valve opening/closing timing controller to a current value supplied to an electromagnetic valve, in a short time.SOLUTION: A valve opening/closing timing controller has a boundary position storage unit 16 that when a current value supplied to an electromagnetic solenoid Va is set by a phase control unit 15, stores reference position information for referring to the operation position of a spool with respect to the current value. The valve opening/closing timing controller acquires a holding current value supplied to the electromagnetic solenoid Va in a state where the change of an actual phase is stopped by the phase control; based on the holding current value and preset characteristic information, generates information indicating the operating position of the spool; and stores the reference position information in the boundary position storage unit 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 【課題】電磁バルブに供給する電流値に対する弁開閉時期制御装置の関係を、短時間で設定できる弁開閉時期制御装置を構成する。【解決手段】位相制御部１５で電磁ソレノイドＶａに供給する電流値を設定する際に、電流値に対するスプールの作動位置を参照する参照位置情報を記憶する境界位置記憶部１６を有している。位相制御により実位相の変化が停止した状態で、電磁ソレノイドＶａに供給されている保持電流値を取得し、この保持電流値と予め設定された特性情報とに基づきスプールの作動位置を示す情報を生成し、参照位置情報として境界位置記憶部１６に記憶する。【選択図】図１０
