Summary:To suppress the flow-in of acid condensed water into a cylinder even if a quantity of a gas flowing into the cylinder from an intake port is reduced.SOLUTION: An ECU 50 performs engine control (blowback control) for blowing a gas in a cylinder 12 back to an intake port 14. The blowback control is performed when it is determined that a stop command (fuel cut command) of fuel injection is issued from an injector. The blowback control is also performed when it is determined that condensed water is produced at a downstream side rather than a merging part A of an EGR pipe 40 and an intake pipe 26. In the blowback control, the valve-closing timing EVC of an exhaust valve and the valve-opening timing IVO of an intake valve are controlled so that the gas in the cylinder 12 is blown back to the intake port 14. In the blowback control, an opening of a VN of a turbine 30b and an opening of an EGR valve 44 are controlled so that the back pressure of an engine 10 is boosted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】吸気ポートから気筒内に流入するガスの量が減少するような場合においても、酸性の凝縮水が気筒内に流入するのを抑える。【解決手段】ECU50は、気筒12内のガスを吸気ポート14に吹き戻すエンジン制御(吹き戻し制御)を行う。吹き戻し制御は、インジェクタからの燃料噴射の停止指令(燃料カット指令)があると判定された場合に行われる。吹き戻し制御は、EGR管40と吸気管26の合流部Aよりも下流側において凝縮水が発生すると判定された場合にも行われる。吹き戻し制御では、気筒12内のガスが吸気ポート14に吹き戻されるように排気バルブの閉弁時期EVCおよび吸気バルブの開弁時期IVOが制御される。吹き戻し制御では、エンジン10の背圧が上昇するようにタービン30bのVNの開度およびEGRバルブ44の開度が制御される。【選択図】図2
