Summary:To solve the problem that conventional particle detectors have many components because of needing to use suction means of suctioning and discharging fluid, such as a fan motor.SOLUTION: A particle detector comprises a light source that emits light emitted to a detection region for detecting particles, and a light receiving unit that receives scattered light generated by irradiating the particles in the detection region with the light. When a direction opposite to a direction in which warmed air rises is defined as a lower side, the light source is arranged in the lower side than the detection region, and air containing the particles can be raised by ascending airflow caused by the heat of the light source, to guide the particles to the detection region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】 従来の粒子検出装置は、ファンモータなどの流体を吸引して排出する吸引手段を用いる必要があり、構成部品が多くなるという課題があった。【解決手段】 粒子検出装置は、粒子を検出する検出領域に照射される光を出射する光源と、前記検出領域内の前記粒子に前記光を照射することで発生する散乱光を受光する受光部とを備え、暖められた空気が上昇する方向と反対の方向を下側とすると、前記光源は前記検出領域より下側に配置され、前記光源の熱による上昇気流によって、前記粒子を含む空気を上昇させて前記粒子を前記検出領域へ導くことができる。【選択図】 図1
