To provide a stick type cleaner to be stored in a smaller space.SOLUTION: A suction tool unit to be connected to a main body of a stick type cleaner includes: a suction tool; and a flange of a connection tube connected to a nearly center of the suction tool in a longitudinal direction. A rotation control unit for controlling rotation of the flange is arranged inside the suction tool. The rotation control unit includes: a piston; and elastic members for energizing the piston. The flange has multiple surfaces to be abutted to the piston, and the multiple surfaces include a first side surface and a second side surface.
