To provide a cable coating removing tool which is capable of removing a coating of a cable, and can easily and reliably polish an outer periphery of a conducting wire.SOLUTION: A cable coating removing tool 1 removes a coating 2b of a cable 2, which has the coating 2b around a conducting wire 2a, by spirally cutting it with a blade body 20. The cable coating removing tool 1 comprises: a hollow body part 10 which is provided, at one end in its axial direction, with an insertion port 11 for inserting the cable 2 and an ejection port 12, on its lateral face, for ejecting the coating 2b removed from the cable 2; the blade body 20 provided on the lateral face of the body part 10; and a brush 30, provided on the body part 10, for polishing an outer periphery of the conducting wire 2a from which the coating 2b has been removed.
