To provide an electronic timepiece capable of improving operability in the case where a user corrects a position of a pointer.SOLUTION: An electronic timepiece 1 comprises operation means 70, a pointer, drive means 210 for driving the pointer and control means 40 for controlling the drive means 210 in a first mode and a second mode. The drive means 210, if controlled in the first mode, drives the pointer in a fast-forward manner at first speed and once predetermined operation is executed by the operation means 70 during fast-forward driving of the pointer at the first speed, stops the pointer while if controlled in the second mode, drives the pointer at second speed faster than the first speed and once the pointer moves to a predetermined position, stops the pointer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】ユーザーが指針の位置を修正する場合の操作性を向上できる電子時計を提供する。【解決手段】電子時計１は、操作手段７０と、指針と、指針を駆動する駆動手段２１０と、駆動手段２１０を第１モードと第２モードとで制御する制御手段４０と、を備え、駆動手段２１０は、第１モードで制御された場合は、指針を第１速度で早送り駆動し、指針を第１速度で早送り駆動している間に操作手段７０で所定の操作が実行されたら、指針を停止させ、第２モードで制御された場合は、指針を第１速度より速い第２速度で早送り駆動し、指針が所定の位置に移動したら、指針を停止させる。【選択図】図２
