To suppress the worsening of the preservation characteristic while suppressing the capacity decrease attributed to being used in a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a negative electrode containing graphite and SiO.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises a negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode mixture material layer. The negative electrode mixture material layer contains a negative electrode active material, carbon black, a filler and a binder. The negative electrode active material contains graphite and silicon oxide.
