Summary:To provide a radiation shielding member having high productivity, and capable of shielding radiation.SOLUTION: A lead ball sheet (1B) of the present invention is formed by a plurality of lead balls joined to each other. The lead ball sheet can be formed in any shape and can be reduced in weight compared to a lead plate since the lead ball sheet is formed by joining lead balls to each other. The lead ball is solid, and therefore the radiation shielding capability per unit thickness of the lead ball sheet can be made high and the thickness can be made thin compared to the case in which the lead ball is hollow. In other words, the lead ball sheet of the present invention can be made thin and light, accordingly transportability and constructability in installation of the lead ball sheet can be made satisfactory, and the amount of lead to be used can be minimized. When the lead ball sheet is used to cover a joint of a shielding member such as a lead plate, it can be formed into a shape in which only the part covering the joint is made thick in the plate-shaped body part, and the lead ball sheet can be made thin and light with the minimum amount of lead to be used, and the transportability and constructability in installation of the lead ball sheet can be made satisfactory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】放射線を遮蔽することが可能で、かつ生産性の高い放射線の遮蔽部材を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の鉛玉シート(1B)は、互いに接合する中実の複数の鉛玉により形成されている。本発明の鉛玉シートは、鉛玉を接合して形成するので、任意の形に形成でき、また、鉛板に比べて軽量化できる。本発明の鉛玉シートは、鉛玉が中実であるので、鉛玉が中空の場合に比べ、厚みあたりの放射線の遮蔽能力を高くでき、厚みを薄くできる。すなわち、本発明の鉛玉シートは、薄くかつ軽くでき、運搬性や設置の際の施工性を良好にできるとともに、鉛の使用量を必要最小限にすることができる。本発明の鉛玉シートを、鉛板等の遮蔽部材の合わせ目を覆うために利用する場合、板状の本体部において、合わせ目を覆う部分のみを厚くした形状に形成でき、必要最小限の鉛の使用量で薄くかつ軽くでき、運搬性や設置の際の施工性を良好にできる。【選択図】図5
