To transfer a vehicle smoothly regardless of the vehicle height in a transfer device that transfers a vehicle between an overhead conveyor and a lifter.SOLUTION: A transfer device transfers a vehicle 9 between an overhead conveyor and a lifter 3. The transfer device includes: a vehicle conveyance hanger 10 having a pair of extensible arm parts 13 that open or close so that lower end parts thereof become apart from or close to each other; and a control device that controls the vehicle conveyance hanger 10. The control device is configured to, when transferring the vehicle 9 from the lifter 3 to the overhead conveyor, extend the arm parts 13, open the arm parts 13 above the lifter 3, and contract the arm parts 13 from a state where the arm parts 13 are closed so that the lower end parts of the arm parts 13 enter the lower part of the vehicle 9 on the lifted lifter 3, thereby engaging the lower end parts of the arm parts 13 from below to a bottom surface of the vehicle 9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 【課題】オーバーヘッドコンベアとリフタとの間で車両を移載する移載装置において、車高の高低に拘わらず、車両を円滑に移載する。【解決手段】オーバーヘッドコンベアとリフタ３との間で車両９を移載する移載装置である。オーバーヘッドコンベアに設けられ、下端部が互いに離間または近接するように開閉する一対の伸縮自在なアーム部１３を有する車両搬送ハンガー１０と、車両搬送ハンガー１０を制御する制御装置と、を備えている。制御装置は、リフタ３からオーバーヘッドコンベアへ車両９を移載する場合には、アーム部１３を伸ばし、且つ、リフタ３の上方でアーム部１３を開くとともに、上昇したリフタ３上の車両９の下方にアーム部１３の下端部が入り込むようにアーム部１３が閉じた状態から、アーム部１３を縮めることで、車両９の底面に対し下方からアーム部１３の下端部を係合させるように構成されている。【選択図】図５
