Summary: | To provide a method of manufacturing a fine particle array capable of easily obtaining a fine particle array in which fine particles of metals and of dielectric substances are regularly arranged.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a fine particle array includes: obtaining a nucleic acid sheet by hybridizing a single-stranded scaffold nucleic acid with a plurality of single-stranded nucleic acids that complementarily bond to a portion of the scaffold nucleic acid, the nucleic acid sheet having, on the front side and the rear side thereof, one or more bonding sites that are arranged at respective predetermined intervals, and at least one of the front side and the rear side having a plurality of the bonding sites; preparing fine particles of dielectric substances and of substances selected from a group of consisting of elements belonging to groups 10 and 11 of the periodic table, the fine particles having, on surfaces thereof, bonding means that specifically bonds to the bonding sites; and obtaining a fine particle array in which the fine particles are bonded to the nucleic acid sheet, by specifically bonding the bonding means and the boding sites together.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
