Summary: | To provide a coated tool which exhibits excellent chipping resistance and wearing resistance even when used for cutting heat-resistant alloy or the like.SOLUTION: A coated tool is provided with a coating layer with an average layer thickness of 1-20 μm in the base material, where the layer contains crystal grains of NaCl type face-centered cubic structure by 0.60≤x≤0.95, 0≤y≤0.0050 when expressed in (TiAl)(CN), and where, in the inclination angle count distribution with those of inclination angles of normal lines of a {112} face which are in a range of 0-45 degrees with respect to a normal direction of the tool body surface divided into 0.25-degree pitches, and with the number of angles present in each division summed up, a maximum peak is present in a division within a range of 0-10 degrees to have a total number of angles within this range by 35% or more, an average particle width of the crystal grains by 0.1-2.0 μm, an average aspect ratio by 2-10, and a difference between an average of x maximal values and minimal values by 0.03-0.25 in an orientation where periodical composition changes are expressed by of the grains.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】耐熱合金等の切削に用いても、優れた耐チッピング性、耐摩耗性を発揮する被覆工具を提供。【解決手段】工具基体に平均層厚1〜20μmの被覆層を設け、該層は、(Ti1−xAlx)(CyN1−y)で表すと、0.60≦xavg≦0.95、0≦yavg≦0.0050で、NaCl型面心立方構造の結晶粒を含み、{112}面の法線の傾斜角のうち工具基体表面の法線方向に対して0〜45度の範囲にあるものを0.25度のピッチに区分して、各区分内に存在する度数を集計した傾斜角度数分布において、0〜10度の範囲内の区分に最高ピークが存在し、この範囲の度数の合計が全体の35%以上、該結晶粒の平均粒子幅が0.1〜2.0μm、平均アスペクト比が2〜10、周期的な組成変化が該粒の<001>で表される方位にxの極大値の平均と極小値の平均の差0.03〜0.25となっている被覆工具。【選択図】図1 |
