Summary:To properly drain cooling water by a small quantity of draining water when cooling a hot-rolled steel sheet after finish rolling of a hot rolling process by the cooling water of a large water quantity.SOLUTION: A draining device 16 for draining cooling water injected to a hot-rolled steel sheet comprises a first draining part 16c and a second draining part 16a in this order from the upstream side along the carrying direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet 10, and a draining nozzle 22 of the first draining part 16c is arranged on the side in the width direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet 10 so as to cover the whole area in the width direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet 10 by a collision area 30 of draining water injected from the draining nozzle 22, and a plurality of draining nozzles 23 of the second draining part 16a are arranged so as to form a water wall of continuing in the width direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet 10 on a collision area 40 by continuously juxtaposing in the width direction of the hot-rolled steel sheet 10 while mutually overlapping the collision area 40 of the draining water injected from its respective ones in a part of the mutually adjacent collision areas 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】熱間圧延工程の仕上げ圧延後の熱延鋼板を大水量の冷却水で冷却する際に、当該冷却水を少量の水切り水で適切に水切りする。【解決手段】熱延鋼板に対して噴射された冷却水を水切りする水切り装置16は、第1の水切り部16cと第2の水切り部16aとを熱延鋼板10の搬送方向に沿って上流側からこの順に備え、第1の水切り部16cの水切りノズル22は、当該水切りノズル22から噴射される水切り水の衝突領域30により熱延鋼板10の幅方向全域が覆われるように、熱延鋼板10の幅方向の側方に配置され、第2の水切り部16aの複数の水切りノズル23は、その各々から噴射された水切り水の衝突領域40が、互いに隣り合う当該衝突領域40の一部で重なり合いながら、熱延鋼板10の幅方向に連続して並び、当該衝突領域上40に、熱延鋼板10の幅方向に連続した水壁が形成されるように配設される。【選択図】図3
