Summary:To provide an oxygen sensor element which has an improved durability, for example, without degrading the sensor characteristics.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to an oxygen sensor element made of a ceramic sintered body for detecting concentration of oxygen based on a current value when a voltage is applied. The ceramic sintered body has the composition LnBaSrCuO(0<x≤1.5), which is formed by replacing a part of the composition LnBaCuO(Ln denotes a rare-earth element and δ denotes an oxygen non-stoichiometric amount) by any element selected from the elements in the group II in the periodic table, such as strontium (Sr). The ceramic sintered body has the composition LnSrCuMoO(0<y<0.5), which is formed by replacing all of the barium (Ba) of the composition formula of LnBaCuOby strontium (Sr) and replacing a part of the copper (Cu) by such a transition metal element as molybdenum (Mo).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】センサ特性を損なうことなく耐久性等を向上させた酸素センサ素子を提供する。【解決手段】セラミック焼結体からなり、電圧を印加したときの電流値をもとに酸素濃度を検出する酸素センサ素子であって、セラミック焼結体は組成式LnBa2Cu3O7-δ(Lnは希土類元素で、δは酸素不定比量を表す)の一部を周期表第2属の元素より選択したいずれかの元素、例えばストロンチウム(Sr)で置換した組成LnBa2-xSrxCu3O7-δ(0<x≦1.5)を有する。また、組成式LnBa2Cu3O7-δのバリウム(Ba)の全量をストロンチウム(Sr)で置換し、かつ、銅(Cu)の一部を遷移金属元素等、例えばモリブデン(Mo)で置換した組成LnSr2Cu3-yMoyO7-δ(0<y<0.5)を有する。【選択図】図2
