Abstract To provide a method for suppressing yellowing of thermoplastic resin.SOLUTION: Polysilane is blended with a thermoplastic resin to suppress yellowing of the thermoplastic resin. The polysilane has a weight average molecular weight of, for example, 400 to 50000. The polysilane may be a chain polyalkylaryl silane and/or a cyclic polydiaryl silane. The thermoplastic resin is, for example, at least one selected from the group consisting of an olefin-based resin, a polyester-based resin, and a polycarbonate-based resin.
