Abstract To provide a heat insulation material that is applied to an outside surface of a cylindrical duct having a flow passage therein and has a thin structure, high fire resistance and high insulation performance as well as high strength and durability.SOLUTION: A heat insulation material 1 is composed of a laminated substrate 10 made by laminating a first layer 110 made of titanium oxide/silicon dioxide based powder, a second layer 12 arranged on the inner side surface of the first layer and made of glass fiber cloth, and a third layer 13 facing the outer side surface of the first layer and made of glass fiber cloth.
