Summary:To provide an ink absorbing device and a droplet discharge device which can improve absorption characteristics of ink and can prevent leakage of ink after absorption.SOLUTION: An ink absorbing device includes at least one sheet used for absorption of ink and a container storing the sheet, in which the sheet has a fiber base material containing a fiber and a water-absorbing resin supported on the fiber base material.
