Summary:To provide a vehicle control device for performing vehicle yaw control for adding a yaw moment to a vehicle, in which vehicle yaw control is executed taking a steering angle at a time of return operation for a steering gear into consideration, whereby discomfort to be added to a driver by such a control can be suitably suppressed.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a steering gear including a steering wheel 6 and so on; a brake control system 16 which can give different brake forces to left and right wheels; and a PCM 14 including a processor and so on. The PCM 14 executes vehicle yaw control for controlling the brake control system 16 so as to add a yaw moment in a direction opposite to a yaw rate generated in a vehicle 1 to the vehicle 1, on the basis of an operation for switching back the steering wheel 6. When a steering speed at the time of switching back operation for the steering wheel 6 is law, vehicle yaw control is suppressed compared to the case that the steering speed is not low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】ヨーモーメントを車両に付加する車両ヨー制御を行う車両の制御装置において、操舵装置の戻し操作時の操舵速度を考慮して車両ヨー制御を実行することで、当該制御によりドライバに与える違和感を適切に抑制する。【解決手段】車両の制御装置は、ステアリングホイール6などを含む操舵装置と、左右の車輪に異なる制動力を付与可能なブレーキ装置16と、プロセッサなどを含むPCM14と、を備える。このPCM14は、ステアリングホイール6の切り戻し操作に基づき、車両1に発生しているヨーレートとは逆回りのヨーモーメントを車両1に付加するようにブレーキ装置16を制御する車両ヨー制御を実行し、ステアリングホイール6の切り戻し操作時の操舵速度が低いときには、そうでないときよりも車両ヨー制御を抑制するよう構成されている。【選択図】図6
