Summary: | To provide a charging device for a secondary battery unit for charging efficiently the secondary battery unit composed of a plurality of secondary batteries.SOLUTION: The charging device for a secondary battery unit for charging a battery pack 20 configured by connecting a plurality of secondary batteries 4 in series comprises: a charge/discharge control unit 6 for charging and discharging the plurality of secondary batteries 4 independently; a voltage sensor 7 for measuring the voltage of each of the plurality of secondary batteries 4; a charge capacity calculation unit 16 for estimating the chargeable capacity of the plurality of secondary batteries 4; a charge/discharge command unit 17 that, when charging the secondary battery unit 20, estimates the chargeable capacity of each of the plurality of secondary batteries 4 by the charge capacity calculation unit 16 and charges and discharges the secondary batteries 4 by the charge/discharge control unit 6 so as to reduce the difference in chargeable capacity of the plurality of secondary batteries 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
