Summary:To solve such the problem that it is difficult for a user to recognize which sheet size is to be selected during image repeat processing.SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus, a document area is detected by executing image analysis processing with respect to a scan image, and a document image after tilt correction is obtained by executing extraction and tilt correction of the document image on the basis of the detected document area. Then, a repeat target area is set on the basis of the document image after the tilt correction, the number of times of repetition in the case of repetitively laying out the repeat target area is calculated for each of a plurality of sheet size candidates, and a list screen indicating the calculated number of times of repetition for each of the plurality of sheet size candidates is displayed. An output image after repeat layout processing is generated by repetitively laying out an image of the repeat target area within the sheet size specified by the user, and print processing can be executed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】 ユーザにとっては、イメージリピート処理時に、どのサイズの用紙を選択するのが適切か把握するのが難しいという課題があった。【解決手段】 スキャン画像に対して画像解析処理を実行することにより原稿領域を検出し、当該検出した原稿領域に基づいて原稿画像の抽出と傾き補正とを実行することにより傾き補正後の原稿画像を得る。そして、その傾き補正後の原稿画像に基づいて、リピート対象領域を設定し、複数の用紙サイズ候補のそれぞれについて、前記リピート対象領域を繰り返しレイアウトする場合の繰り返し回数を算出し、当該算出した前記複数の用紙サイズ候補それぞれについての繰り返し回数を示す一覧画面を表示する。ユーザにより指定された用紙サイズ内に、リピート対象領域の画像を繰返しレイアウトすることにより、リピートレイアウト処理後の出力画像を作成し、印刷処理を実行可能にする。【選択図】 図3
