Summary:To provide a technique capable of increasing the degree-of-freedom of contour shape of the entire patch antenna when designing a patch antenna including a passive element.SOLUTION: A patch antenna 200 includes an antenna body 210 having a radiation element 214 on the top face of a dielectric 212, and a passive element 220 disposed away from the radiation element 214 by a certain distance. The passive element 220 is a metal material having a shape convex upward as a whole, and has a plane part 222 parallel with the top face of the radiation element 214, and two bends 224, i.e., ramps from both ends of the plane part 222 toward the radiation element. The passive element 220 has a three-dimensional shape as a whole, and has a plan view area wider than that of the radiation element 214, in the plan view from the first face side of the dielectric 212, and is provided at a position separated from a radiation element 314 and covering the radiation element 214.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】無給電素子を備えたパッチアンテナを設計する際のパッチアンテナ全体の輪郭形状の自由度を高めることができる技術を提供すること。【解決手段】パッチアンテナ200は、誘電体212の上面に放射素子214を有するアンテナ本体部210と、放射素子214から所定距離をおいて配設された無給電素子220とを備える。無給電素子220は、全体として上方に凸状の形状を有し、放射素子214の上面に平行な平面部222と、平面部222の両端部から放射素子に向かう傾斜部である2つの屈曲部224とを有する金属材である。無給電素子220は、全体として立体形状を有していながら、誘電体212の第1面側から俯瞰した平面視において放射素子214より広い平面視面積を有し、且つ、放射素子314から離れた位置にあって放射素子214を覆う位置に設けられている。【選択図】図4
