Summary: | To provide a lighting device which can prevent occurrence of luminance unevenness effectively even if heat shrinkage of a reflection sheet occurs under a predetermined high temperature environment and thereby illuminate in a more uniform manner, and to provide a display device including the lighting device.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes: a substrate 20 in which multiple light emitting elements 17 are arranged in parallel to each other; and a reflection sheet 40 provided on the substrate. Multiple openings 30 are formed on the reflection sheet 40. The multiple light emitting elements 17 respectively overlap with the multiple openings 30 in the reflection sheet 40. The reflection sheet 40 extends in a predetermined extension direction which is determined in advance. A projection part 22 protruding to the reflection sheet 40 side is provided at the substrate 20.
