To provide a relay carrier adapted to restrain the consumption power of a heater for suppressing curling of a sheet and drying an ink of an image.SOLUTION: A relay carrier 4 comprises a relay-transport passage 50 that is arranged between an image forming apparatus 2 for forming an image on a sheet and a post-processing apparatus 3 for post-processing the sheet on which an image is formed by the image forming apparatus 2 and carries the sheet from the image forming apparatus 2 to the post-processing apparatus 3, a processing unit, such as an inversion unit 41 or a correction unit 43, that performs predetermined processing on the sheet at a predetermined position of the relay-transport passage 50, main heaters 45, 46 that heat up the sheet being processed in the processing unit, and sub-heaters 47, 48, 49 that heat up the sheet being carried through other positions than the predetermined position of the relay-transport passage 50. A second control unit 70 of the relay carrier 4 sets the sub-heaters 47, 48, 49 to an off state when ink amount information of an image formed on the sheet is less than a predetermined lower threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】用紙のカールを抑制すると共に画像のインクを乾燥させるヒーターの消費電力を抑制する。【解決手段】中継搬送装置４は、用紙に画像を形成する画像形成装置２と画像形成装置２によって画像を形成された用紙に後処理を行う後処理装置３との間に配置され、画像形成装置２から後処理装置３へ用紙を搬送する中継搬送路５０と、中継搬送路５０の所定位置で用紙に所定の処理を行う反転ユニット４１や補正ユニット４３等の処理ユニットと、処理ユニットで処理中の用紙を加熱するメインヒーター４５、４６と、中継搬送路５０の所定位置以外で搬送中の用紙を加熱するサブヒーター４７、４８、４９と、を備える。中継搬送装置４の第２制御装置７０は、用紙に形成された画像のインク量情報が所定の下方閾値未満のとき、サブヒーター４７、４８、４９をオフに設定する。【選択図】図２
