Summary:To provide a road surface state detector with which it is possible to determine whether there is occurrence of a cloud of dust due to the running of the host device.SOLUTION: Provided is a road surface state detector mounted in a work vehicle 1a, comprising a front sensor 21F for detecting a road surface state ahead of the wheel grounding point of a drive wheel and a rear sensor 21R for detecting a road surface state behind the wheel grounding point. The road surface state detector is constituted by including a controller connected to each of the front and the rear sensors, the controller acquiring front output outputted from the front sensor and rear output outputted from the rear sensor, calculating a difference in output value between the front output and the rear output, comparing the calculated difference in output value with a dust determination threshold for determining whether there is occurrence of a cloud of dust, and determining that the road surface state is such that a cloud of dust tends to occur when the difference in output value is greater than or equal to the dust determination threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 【課題】自車両の走行により土埃が発生しているかを判定可能な路面状態検出装置を提供する。【解決手段】駆動輪の車輪接地点よりも前の路面状態を検出する前方センサ21Fと、車輪接地点よりも後ろの路面状態を検出する後方センサ21Rと、を備えた作業車両1aに搭載される路面状態検出装置であって、路面状態検出装置は前方センサ及び後方センサの其々に接続されたコントローラを含んで構成され、コントローラは、前方センサから出力される前方出力及び後方センサから出力される後方出力を取得し、前方出力及び後方出力の出力値の差を算出し、算出された出力値の差及び土埃が発生しているかを判定するための土埃判定閾値を比較し、出力値の差が土埃判定閾値以上となった場合に土埃が発生しやすい路面状態であると判定する。【選択図】図11
