Abstract | To provide methods for suppressing development and metastasis of breast cancer tumors.SOLUTION: Provided is an effective amount of glucocorticoid receptor promoter, in which a pharmaceutical composition containing antcin A of Antrodia cinnameme ingredient as a main active ingredient, a carrier, and an excipient is administered, the composition and breast cancer cells react, microRNA-708 is activated by transcriptional activation of glucocorticoid receptor α, cell cycle stagnation is induced while the growth of breast cancer cells is suppressed, the expression of miR-708 is induced by signaling of activation of the pharmaceutical composition and subsequently the activity of NF-κB is suppressed, and the expression of its lower target genes COX-2 and cMYC are downregulated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
