To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing compound by the addition reaction of an olefin to a perfluoroalkyl radical, which can be performed industrially in a more suitable manner.SOLUTION: A method for producing a fluorine-containing compound includes reacting an olefin of formula (2) with a fluorine-containing organic iodine compound of R-I (Ris a trifluoromethyl group, a pentafluoroethyl group, a C3-C8 linear/branched/cyclic perfluoroalkyl group or the like) under light irradiation, in an organic solvent, in the presence of an enamine derivative obtained from a pyrrolidine compound and an aldehyde compound.
