Summary: | To provide a radiation monitor which enables improvement in detection sensitivity and a dose rate measurement dynamic range of a radiation detector using an optical fiber.SOLUTION: A radiation monitor comprises: a radiation detection section 2 with a phosphor; a photodetector 4 which detects a single photon of light of the radiation detection section 2 via an optical fiber 3; a counter 5 which counts an electric pulse signal generated in the photodetector 4; a wave height value spectrum generation circuit 7 which generates a wave height value spectrum; a peak position calculation circuit 8 which calculates a peak position of the single photon on the basis of the wave height value spectrum generated by the wave height value spectrum generation circuit 7; a given energy calculation circuit 9 which calculates given energy representing the total sum of energy given to the photodetector 4 on the basis of the wave height value spectrum generated by the wave height value spectrum generation circuit 7; and a radiation dose rate calculation circuit which calculates a dose rate on the basis of a count rate of the single photon obtained from the calculated peak position of the single photon and the given energy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】光ファイバを用いた放射線検出器の検出感度及び線量率測定ダイナミックレンジを向上できる放射線モニタを提供する。【解決手段】蛍光体を備えた放射線検知部2と、前記放射線検知部2の光を光ファイバ3を介して、その単一光子を検出する光検出器4と、前記光検出器4で生成した電気パルス信号を計数するカウンタ5と、波高値スペクトルを生成する波高値スペクトル生成回路7と、前記波高値スペクトル生成回路7により生成された波高値スペクトルに基づき、単一光子のピーク位置を算出するピーク位置算出回路8と、前記波高値スペクトル生成回路7により生成された波高値スペクトルに基づき、前記光検出器4に付与されたエネルギーの総和を示す付与エネルギーを算出する付与エネルギー算出回路9と、算出された単一光子のピーク位置と付与エネルギーとから得られる単一光子の計数率に基づき、線量率を算出する放射線線量率算出回路とを有する。【選択図】図1 |
