The ice machine has: an ice making plate that has a coolant passage for circulation of a coolant formed inside and is disposed standing upward; a water spraying mechanism that sprays water onto the surface of the ice making plate from above the ice making plate; and a coolant circulation mechanism that circulates the coolant.
