Summary:To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which suppresses the accumulation of deposits in a piston.SOLUTION: In a control device of an internal combustion engine having an intake valve and an exhaust valve for opening and closing a combustion chamber, an ignition plug arranged in the combustion chamber so as to face it, a valve timing mechanism for changing the valve-closing timing of the exhaust valve, and a valve stop mechanism for stopping the intake valve in a valve-closed state, when there arises a fuel cut requirement for stopping fuel injection in the internal combustion engine in a state that an operation state of the internal combustion engine is in a low-rotation load state, the control device controls the ignition plug so as to retard ignition timing more than the case that there is not fuel cut requirement before the fuel cut is performed, controls the valve timing mechanism so as to retard the valve-closing timing of the exhaust valve rather than an exhaust top dead point, and to further retard the valve-closing timing more than the case that there is not fuel cut requirement, and also controls the valve stop mechanism so as to stop the intake valve in the valve-closed state during the execution of the fuel cut.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】ピストンでのデポジットの堆積を抑制する内燃機関の制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】燃焼室を開閉する吸気弁及び排気弁と、前記燃焼室内に臨むように設けられた点火プラグと、前記排気弁の閉弁タイミングを変更するバルブタイミング機構と、前記吸気弁を閉弁状態で停止させる弁停止機構と、を備えた内燃機関の制御装置において、前記内燃機関の運転状態が低回転低負荷状態であって前記内燃機関での燃料噴射を停止する燃料カット要求があった場合に、前記燃料カットが実行される前に、点火タイミングを前記燃料カット要求がない場合よりも遅角させるように前記点火プラグを制御し、かつ前記排気弁の閉弁タイミングを排気上死点よりも遅角させ前記燃料カット要求がない場合よりも遅角させるように前記バルブタイミング機構を制御し、前記燃料カットの実行中に、前記吸気弁を閉弁状態で停止させるように前記弁停止機構を制御する、内燃機関の制御装置。【選択図】図3
