Summary: | To provide a power source device having a storage part suitable for storing a battery pack, in which a plurality of single battery cells are stacked, in a compressed state in a stacking direction, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: A power source device 1 comprises: a housing 10 in which a tank-shaped first accommodating part 11 having a first open face 16 is formed; and a columnar first battery pack 31 in which a plurality of single battery cells 40 are stacked. The first battery pack 31 is held in the first storage part 11 by means of a holding load acting between first and end parts 31a, 31b on both end sides in a stacking direction X and first and second internal wall parts 11a, 11b opposite in the first storage part 11. Formed in the first and second internal parts 11a, 11b are first and second groove parts 21, 22 communicating with the first open face 16, extending perpendicular to the first open face 16, and being bottomed or non-bottomed as viewed in a cross-section parallel to the stacking direction X.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
