Summary:To provide a connecting rod of an internal combustion engine capable of preventing a pressure from locally concentrating on an inner peripheral face of a hole to which a crank shaft is inserted.SOLUTION: A connecting rod for connecting a first end portion and a second end portion, includes a wide portion 32 of which a width orthogonal to both of a longitudinal direction and a thickness direction from a column portion 20 extended in the longitudinal direction orthogonal to the thickness direction, is gradually expanded, a wide width central portion 32a overlapped to a line segment orthogonal to a central axis of the connecting rod connecting the first end portion and the second end portion, and a pair of wide width outer edge portions 32b holding the wide width central portion from a width direction.
