Summary:To provide a lighting appliance for a vehicle which can enhance visibility from an oblique lateral direction by enabling homogeneous light emission to all directions except for a rear side, and can prevent the lowering of beauty at non-lighting.SOLUTION: In a position lamp (lighting appliance for a vehicle) 10, an LED (light source) 12 and a light guide lens 11 in which a lens cut 13 is formed at an anti-light emission face are accommodated in a lamp chamber 4 which is defined by a housing 2 and an outer lens 3 covering an opening part of the housing, and the light guide lens 11 is made to emit light by reflecting the light by the lens cut 13, and emitting it from a light emitting face 11b in a process for guiding light which is made incident to the light guide lens 11 from the LED 12 to a longitudinal direction of the light guide lens 11. A cross-section trapezoidal notched-groove shape recess 11c is formed at the anti-light emission face of the light guide lens 11, and the lens cut 13 is formed at an internal peripheral face of the recess 11c as a whole including both inside faces. An external peripheral face of a region except for the recess 11c of the light guide lens 11 is formed into a cylindrical face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 【課題】後方を除く全方向への均一発光を実現して斜め横方向からの被視認性も高めることができるとともに、非点灯時の美観の低下を防ぐことができる車両用灯具を提供すること。【解決手段】ハウジング2とその開口部を覆うアウタレンズ3によって画成された灯室4内に、LED(光源)12と、反出射面にレンズカット13が形成された導光レンズ11を収容し、前記LED12から前記導光レンズ11内に入射する光を該導光レンジ11の長手方向に導く過程で前記レンズカット13によって光を反射させて出射面11bから出射させることによって当該導光レンズ11を発光させるポジションランプ(車両用灯具)10において、前記導光レンズ11の反出射面に、横断面台形の切欠溝状の凹部11cを形成し、該凹部11cの両内側面を含む内周面全体に前記レンズカット13を形成する。又、前記導光レンズ11の前記凹部11cを除く部位の外周面を円筒面とする。【選択図】図4
