Summary:To provide an oxygen sensor element the humidity resistance, and the like of which are improved without impairing sensor characteristics.SOLUTION: Provided is an oxygen sensor element, composed of a ceramic sintered compact, for detecting an oxygen concentration on the basis of a current value when a voltage is applied, the ceramic sintered compact including a composition LnCaBaLaCuO(0.25≤z≤1) derived by replacing a portion of a composition formula LnBaCuO(Ln is a rare earth element, δ represents an oxygen non-stoichiometric amount) with an element selected from periodic table group 2 elements (e.g., calcium (Ca)) and an element selected from lanthanoid elements (e.g., lanthanum (La)). It also includes a composition NdBaCuO(0<x≤1.2) derived by replacing barium (Ba) in composition formula LnBaCuOwith a rare earth element (e.g., neodymium (Nd)).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 【課題】センサ特性を損なうことなく耐湿性等を向上させた酸素センサ素子を提供する。【解決手段】セラミック焼結体からなり、電圧を印加したときの電流値をもとに酸素濃度を検出する酸素センサ素子であって、セラミック焼結体は組成式LnBa2Cu3O7-δ(Lnは希土類元素で、δは酸素不定比量を表す)の一部を周期表第2属の元素より選択したいずれかの元素(例えばカルシウム(Ca))と、ランタノイド系の元素より選択したいずれかの元素(例えばランタン(La))とで置換した組成Ln1-zCazBa2-zLazCu3O7-δ(0.25≦z≦1)を有する。また、組成式LnBa2Cu3O7-δのバリウム(Ba)を、希土類元素(例えばネオジム(Nd))で置換した組成Nd1+xBa2-xCu3O7-δ(0<x≦1.2)を有する。【選択図】図2
