Summary:To provide a titanium oxide film excellent in visible light-responsive photocatalytic function and stain resistance.SOLUTION: A titanium oxide film is formed by a continuous film of titanium oxide, on the surface of which a metal compound having metal atoms and hydrocarbon groups is bonded, and has absorption at wave lengths of 450 nm and 750 nm in the visible absorption spectrum. The method for production of the above film includes: a process of forming a continuous titanium oxide layer on a substrate; a process of surface-treating the titanium oxide layer by a metal compound having metal atoms and hydrocarbon groups; and a process of heat-treating the titanium oxide layer surface-treated by the metal compound during or after the surface-treating process.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】可視光応答型の光触媒機能と耐汚染性とに優れる酸化チタン膜を提供。【解決手段】酸化チタンが連続している酸化チタン膜であって、金属原子及び炭化水素基を有する金属化合物が表面に結合しており、可視吸収スペクトルにおいて波長450nm及び750nmに吸収を持つ酸化チタン膜であって、基材上に酸化チタンが連続している酸化チタン層を形成する工程と、酸化チタン層を、金属原子及び炭化水素基を有する金属化合物により表面処理する工程と、表面処理する工程中又は後に、金属化合物により表面処理された酸化チタン層を加熱処理する工程とを含む酸化チタン膜の製造方法とする。【選択図】なし
