Summary: | To continue battery charging while protecting a battery from lithium precipitation, in charging a battery of a lithium ion secondary battery at low temperatures.SOLUTION: When the temperature TB of a battery 150 falls below a predetermined temperature Tc in performing lithium precipitation suppression control, an ECU 100 further performs temperature rise control to raise the temperature TB of the battery 150 by repeating charging and discharging of the battery 150. In the temperature rise control, when the amount of a target current Itag falls below a first threshold value TH1 that is larger than 0, charging of the battery 150 is prohibited by restricting allowable charge power Iwin to 0 and the battery 150 is discharged, and, when the amount of an allowable current Ilim exceeds a second threshold value TH2, charging of the battery 150 is resumed by removing the restriction of the allowable charge power Iwin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
【課題】リチウムイオン二次電池であるバッテリの低温での充電時において、リチウム析出からバッテリを保護しつつ、バッテリの充電を進める。【解決手段】ECU100は、リチウム析出抑制制御の実行時にバッテリ150の温度TBが所定温度Tcを下回る場合、バッテリ150の充放電を繰り返すことによりバッテリ150の温度TBを上昇させる昇温制御をさらに実行する。昇温制御は、目標電流Itagの大きさが0よりも大きな第1の閾値TH1を下回ったときには、許容充電電力Iwinを0に制限することでバッテリ150の充電を禁止するとともにバッテリ150を放電させ、許容電流Ilimの大きさが第2の閾値TH2を上回ると、許容充電電力IWinの制限を解除することでバッテリ150の充電を再開させる制御である。【選択図】図5 |
