Summary:To suppress a voltage drop in a counter electrode at a panel center portion and to prevent fluctuations in luminance while employing a line bank system.SOLUTION: An organic EL display panel includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes 13 spaced from one another in an X direction and a Y direction on a substrate 11; an electrically insulating partition wall 14 extending in the Y direction between the pixel electrodes 13 adjoining in the X direction; an organic luminescent layer 16 disposed above a pixel electrode array partitioned by the adjoining partition walls 14 and extending in the Y direction; a counter electrode 17 commonly disposed above the organic luminescent layer 16; and an auxiliary electrode 22 formed above the counter electrode 17 via a protective layer 18. The auxiliary electrode 22 includes a pixel upper auxiliary electrode 19 formed above the protective layer 18 and a bank upper auxiliary electrode 20 located above the partition wall 14 and extending in the Y direction.
