A base end part with an anode 33 arranged in the ceramic heater 3 projects from the holding outer cylinder 2A to a base end side L2. In an axis direction L along center axes of the ceramic heater 3 and holding outer cylinder 2A, a base end 342 of a cathode 34 is positioned on a tip side L1 with respect to a base end 271 of an inclined contact part 27 of the holding outer cylinder 2A.
