Summary:To provide a human waste processing method that enables a bad smell derived from ammonia to be removed at low cost without using electric power, and enables a human waste to be used as fertilizer, and provide a portable toilet.SOLUTION: A human waste processing method of the present invention is characterized by including at least a first step of putting a vinegar liquid 60 in a portion of a urine collection container 11, a second step of collecting the urine collection container with urine 50 and collecting the urine 51 to the urine collection container 12, and a third step of making a liquid fertilizer by diluting a mixed liquid of the vinegar liquid and the urine with water at the point when the urine collection container is filled with the urine. According to the present invention, a urine is collected in a urine collection container with vinegar liquid being put therein previously. The mixed liquid of the urine and the vinegar liquid has pH being in an acidic area, and most of the urease is not activated in the acidic area. Accordingly, the urea contained in the urine in the urine collection container is not decomposed into ammonia by the urease, and thereby the generation of the bad smell derived from the ammonia can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 【課題】電力を使用せずに低コストでアンモニア由来の悪臭を除去でき、且つ屎尿を肥料として利用できる屎尿処理方法及び簡易トイレを提供する。【解決手段】本発明の屎尿処理方法は、尿回収容器11の一部に酢液60を入れる第1ステップと、尿50を前記尿回収容器に回収し、屎51を屎回収容器12に回収する第2ステップと、尿回収容器が前記尿で満たされた時点で、前記酢液と前記尿の混合液を水で希釈して液肥化する第3ステップとを少なくとも備えることを特徴とする。本発明では、予め酢液を入れた尿回収容器に尿が回収される。尿と酢液の混合液はpHが酸性域であり、酸性域ではウレアーゼが殆ど活性化しない。したがって、尿回収容器内の尿に含まれる尿素がウレアーゼによってアンモニアに分解されることがなく、アンモニア由来の悪臭の発生を防止できる。【選択図】図3
