Summary:To provide a hot rolled wire having excellent strength and ductility when used for a drawn wire or a bluing wire.SOLUTION: A hot rolled wire contains, by mass, 0.90-1.10% C, more than 0.40% and 0.80% or less Si, 0.10-0.70% Mn, 0.10-0.40% Cr, Al limited to 0.003% or less, P limited to 0.020% or less, S limited to 0.010% or less, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, and Si+Cr is 0.50-0.90% and Cr+Mn is 0.40-0.80%. A main metallographic structure of the hot rolled wire comprises pearlite, and a remaining structure comprises any one or more kinds of pro-eutectoid cementite, intergranular ferrite, and bainite. In a center part that is located within R/3 (in which R is a radius of the hot rolled wire) from the cross-section center of the hot rolled wire, an area ratio of a region in which a length of lamellar cementite is 1.5 μm or less is 20% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】伸線材もしくはブルーイング材において優れた強度及び延性を有することができる、熱間圧延線材を提供する。【解決手段】質量%で、C:0.90〜1.10%、Si:0.40%超0.80%以下、Mn:0.10〜0.70%、Cr:0.10〜0.40%を含有し、Al:0.003%以下、P:0.020%以下、S:0.010%以下に制限し、かつ「Si+Cr」が0.50〜0.90%、「Cr+Mn」が0.40〜0.80%であり、残部はFeおよび不可避の不純物よりなり、金属組織は、パーライトを主組織とし、残部組織が初析セメンタイト、粒界フェライトおよびベイナイトのいずれか1種又は2種以上からなり、線材の半径をRとした時、線材横断面の中心からR/3以内の中心部において、ラメラセメンタイト長さが1.5μm以下の領域が面積率で20%以下である。【選択図】なし
