To provide a water-in-oil type skin external preparation having excellent ultraviolet blocking ability, viscosity stability and sense of use.SOLUTION: There is provided a water-in-oil type skin external preparation which comprises a surface-treated powder (A) containing at least one selected from titanium oxide and zinc oxide and having 4-tert-butyl-4'-methoxydibenzoylmethane on the surface, a polyglycerol fatty acid ester (B), an unmodified or polyether-modified or polyglycerol-modified crosslinked organopolysiloxane polymer (C) and a polyether-modified silicone in an oil phase, wherein the polyglycerol fatty acid ester (B) is an ester of a fatty acid having 8 to 22 carbon atoms and a polyglycerol having an average polymerization degree of 2 to 8, the content of the surface-treated powder (A) is 0.1 to 50 mass%, the content of the polyglycerol fatty acid ester (B) is 0.3 to 10 mass% and the content of the polyether-modified silicone is 0.01 to 10 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None 【課題】紫外線遮蔽能、粘度安定性、及び使用感に優れた油中水型皮膚外用剤の提供。【解決手段】酸化チタン及び酸化亜鉛から選ばれる少なくとも１種を含み、４−ｔｅｒｔ−ブチル−４'−メトキシジベンゾイルメタンを表面に有する表面処理粉体（Ａ）と、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル（Ｂ）と、未変性の、又は、ポリエーテル変性若しくはポリグリセリン変性された架橋型オルガノポリシロキサン重合物（Ｃ）と、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンと、を油相に含有し、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル（Ｂ）が、炭素数８〜２２の脂肪酸と平均重合度２〜８のポリグリセリンとのエステルであり、表面処理粉体（Ａ）の含有率が０．１質量％〜５０質量％であり、ポリグリセリン脂肪酸エステル（Ｂ）の含有率が０．３質量％〜１０質量％であり、ポリエーテル変性シリコーンの含有率が０．０１質量％〜１０質量％である油中水型皮膚外用剤。【選択図】なし
