Summary:To provide a vehicle drive device capable of restraining a decrement of a drivability with a performance of a vehicle velocity restriction.SOLUTION: This device has an electric motor for driving a vehicle drive wheel and a motor controller for controlling an operation of the electric motor to acquire an output torque corresponding to a vehicle operation state. The motor controller makes a torque command value T as a predetermined negative torque Ta (S104) when a condition where an accelerator operation member is operated as ON and a vehicle velocity SPD is greater than a predetermined velocity ωa (S101:YES and S103:YES). For a period after the condition is met (S101:YES and S103:YES) and until the vehicle velocity SPD is smaller than a return velocity ωb smaller than the predetermined velocity ωa (S105:YES and S106:YES), it controls the torque command value T from switching to a positive torque (S104).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 【課題】車速制限の実行に伴うドライバビリティの低下を抑えることのできる車両駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】この装置は、車両駆動輪を駆動する電動モータと、車両運転状態に応じた出力トルクが得られるように電動モータの作動を制御するモータ制御部とを有する。モータ制御部は、アクセル操作部材がオン操作された状態であり且つ車速SPDが規定速度ωa以上であるとの条件が成立しているときには(S101:YES、且つS103:YES)、トルク指令値Tを所定の負トルクTaにする(S104)。前記条件が成立してから(S101:YES、且つS103:YES)、車速SPDが前記規定速度ωaよりも低い復帰速度ωbを下回るまでの期間においては(S105:YES、且つS106:YES)、トルク指令値Tが正トルクに切り替わることを制限する(S104)。【選択図】図6
