Summary: | To provide a device, a control method, and a program capable of instantaneously switching to the setting assigned to a button MySet, and capable of reliably returning to the original state even when an arbitrary operation function is assigned and set to each of a plurality of operation units.SOLUTION: A device 1 includes: a setting unit 42 configured to assign and set an operation function to each of a plurality of operation units on the basis of any one of a plurality pieces of setting information generated by a generation unit 41, and to set a setting operation unit to which an operation function to perform switching to at least any one of the plurality of pieces of setting information from among the plurality of operation units is assigned; a switching unit 43 configured to change the operation function of each of the plurality of operation units and prohibit the change in the operation function assigned to the setting operation unit when the setting operation unit is operated; and a return unit 44 configured to return to the operation function before the operation function of each of the plurality of operation units is changed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
