To provide an inspection device which can quickly send an inspection member to a target inspection position, which can shorten time period of an inspection work, and which makes an inspection work easy, even when a work environment of an inspection place is inferior.SOLUTION: An inspection device 1 comprises: an inspection rod 2; an imaging lens portion 3 mounted at a tip of the inspection rod 2, which is an inspection member; a base 4 to which the inspection rod 2 is attached; an inspection rod driving portion 5 which is provided on the base 4 and which makes the inspection rod 2 elongate and contract; and a base driving portion 6 making the base 4 rotationally drive so that the inspection rod 2 freely rotates vertically and horizontally. The inspection rod 2 is made to elongate and contract, and/or to rotate vertically and horizontally.
