To provide a control device for automatic engine stop which can make compatible both improvement of fuel economy and securement of brake performance while enhancing the merchantability of a vehicle.SOLUTION: The control device for automatic engine stop comprises: a first battery 3; a second battery 4; a second ECU (Electronic Control Unit) 15 stopping an engine 12 by establishment of an engine stop condition, and restarting the engine 12 by the establishment of an engine restart condition; an electric booster 6 generating a brake force of a wheel 2 by boosting an operation amount of a brake pedal 1; and a motor 11 driven by the second battery 4. The second ECU 15 restarts the engine 12 using the motor 11 when the engine restart condition is established, and restarts the engine 12 using a starter 14 when the restart of the engine 12 by the motor 11 is unsuccessful. The second ECU prohibits the restart of the engine 12 by the starter 14 when the brake pedal 1 is in an operation and the restart condition of the engine is established.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】車両の商品性を高めつつ燃費改善と制動性能確保とを両立することができるエンジンの自動停止制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】第１バッテリ３と、第２バッテリ４と、エンジン停止条件の成立によってエンジン１２を停止させると共にエンジン再始動条件の成立によってエンジン１２を再始動させる第２ＥＣＵ１５と、ブレーキペダル１の操作量を倍力して車輪２の制動力を発生させる電動ブースタ６と、第２バッテリ４によって駆動されるモータ１１とを備え、第２ＥＣＵ１５は、エンジン再始動条件の成立時にはモータ１１によるエンジン１２の再始動を実行すると共にモータ１１によるエンジン１２の再始動が不成功時にはスタータ１４によるエンジン１２の再始動を実行するものであって、ブレーキペダル１の操作中で且つエンジン再始動条件の成立時、スタータ１４によるエンジン１２の再始動を禁止している。【選択図】 図１
